Colonel Richard Walberg (United States Air Force Retired), Doctrine and Transportation.

Mr. Walberg is the CEO of Tacticum; he and his wife Barbara founded the company in July 2012. Since they founded Tacticum Richard and Barbara have won a $1.6 million contract with the US defense Information Systems Agency; a 5-month, $100,000+ contract with AAR Airlift in Palm Bay Florida. Prior to founding Tacticum Mr. Walberg was the Director, Strategic Planning for National Air Cargo, the Middle East in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In that role he was responsible for long-range planning for the Middle East area of operations; National Air Cargo is a global freight forwarding company with annual revenues of $600 million.

Mr. Walberg spent 2.5 years working for Deloitte Consulting where he was a member of the Deloitte Leadership Advisory Board that recommended Federal Market penetration strategy to the Deloitte Federal CEO. He worked mainly in the Air Force, Army, Joint Commands, Supply Chain, and FAA accounts and earned over $7 million in sales. Mr. Walberg served 28 years in the United States Air Force and retired in the rank of colonel. He held progressively challenging leadership positions and commanded at the Squadron, Group and Wing levels. He has extensive experience at both national and international crisis management and humanitarian relief efforts. He deployed into New Orleans immediately after Hurricane Katrina where his unit evacuated 26,000 people and re-opened New Orleans Int’l airport. He was the US Air Force commander for the International Relief efforts at Chaklala airport, Islamabad after the 2005 Pakistan earthquake that killed over 80,000 people. For those two operations, he was personally recognized for his leadership in the US Congressional House Armed Services Committee and by the United Nations to President Musharraf for his efforts in Pakistan. He was on duty in the Pentagon National Military Command Center during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

He is a command pilot with over 5,000 flying hours and holds multiple ratings in a variety of military and civil aircraft. Mr. Walberg holds a Master of Science Degree in National Resource Strategy, National Defense University; Master of Science Degree in Aeronautical Science, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University; a Bachelor of Science in Accounting; a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Illinois State University.
