Mr. Hopewell is the Human Resources Officer and Organizational Development advisor to Defence Unlimited International where he oversees all aspects of organizational development, human capital development, training, and, human resources management.
He is also responsible for overall morale and welfare of the organization. Mr. Hopewell is a highly accomplished and multiple award-winning global leader in the fields of People, Talent and Learning. He has served as executive leadership powering the growth and development of both commercial and non-for-profit organizations internationally in countries including Germany, Turkey, Qatar, China, the UAE, India and the USA. He has also served very successfully as business leadership with full multi-million USD P&L’s for leading global Training and HR Solutions consulting and services organizations providing Talent Management & HR Development solutions internationally with major corporate clients Including Wal-Mart, FedEx, Etihad and HSBC. Mr. Hopewell is an HR leader who has innovated and collaborated globally to solve literally 100’s of critical challenges, and helped organizations take advantage of literally 100’s of dynamic opportunities. He has held numerous executive business and leadership roles including being a Vice President for Abu Dhabi University, a Divisional President for the Goldstone Group and a Director for the Savola Group. He has an American MBA from HULT Boston USA, and both a Postgraduate Advanced Award from CIPD King’s College Cambridge UK in HR (with a focus on Organizational Design and Development), and a Postgraduate Diploma from Trinity College London UK in Teaching/Training. He is also an SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) as accredited by the HR Certification Institute in the USA. Mr. Hopewell’s work in designing and implementing highly innovative systems for the Savola Group won 2 major USA awards in 2015 – as a Global HR Game Changer (Workforce USA), and a Trailblazer (Chief Learning Officer USA). That work was also selected by the CIPD (UK’s leading HR & People Institute) as a finalist in the 2015 People Management Awards. In 2016 that led to him being interviewed by The Economist as a thought and action leader in innovative HR and TM practices in the Middle East.
